Feature Project — WFTV Studios

WFTV-TV 9 purchased one of the first Strand Lighting CD80 dimmer racks ever made in 1980 for its studios on West Central Blvd. In 1989, Murphy Lighting Systems worked with WFTV's production and engineering staff on the layout of the dimming, control and power distribution for two new studios for the station's new facility on South Street. Included in the plan was relocating the original CD80 rack for use in the facility (along with several new dimmer racks and new control consoles). This installation speaks to the high quality and long lifespan of the equipment that Murphy Lighting furnishes and to the loyalty of our customers. WFTV is still a customer and the dimming and control system is still running strong 15 years after (re)installation.
