Sean Nielsen

Sean joined Murphy Lighting Systems in 2024 as a Lighting Install Technician, where he assists with fixture installations on project sites, performs fixture testing in the warehouse, and troubleshoots lighting systems both in the field and in the office. His hands-on approach and growing technical expertise make him a valuable part of the MLS installation team.

Before joining MLS, Sean worked as a freelance technician supporting corporate events throughout Florida and served as an audio assist on the LIV Golf Tour in 2024. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Show Production from Full Sail University, along with DANTE Level 2 and OSHA 10 certifications. He is currently pursuing ETC certification to further expand his technical skills and industry knowledge.

Sean’s favorite part of his job is seeing the team’s hard work and dedication come to life in the final product. Watching clients experience the finished project is, for him, one of the most rewarding aspects of what he does. He takes pride in his professional growth—developing from a newcomer into a confident, capable technician who thrives on tackling new challenges.

Outside of work, Sean enjoys playing Dungeons & Dragons, watching football, attending live concerts, and gaming with friends.
